Severe anaemia is a global community health challenge frequently connected with morbidity and mortality among kiddies < 5years of age in Sub-Saharan Africa. However, less is well known concerning the behavioural performance of kids < 5years surviving severe anaemia in reduced resource configurations. We investigated social-emotional and adaptive behavior in children < 5years clinically determined to have severe anaemia in Northern Uganda. We carried out a medical center based prospective cohort research among children 6-42months have been addressed for extreme anaemia (n = 171) at Lira local Referral Hospital, Uganda. Socio-emotional and adaptive behavior were evaluated 14days post discharge making use of the Bayley Scales of toddler and Toddler Development, 3rd version.
